First, I must say this is not what I believe, but I will post it here in hope that someone, or everyone, could refute every single point made by N.F. I will post his reason for not believing in the Biblical God below (he claims to believe in a God, but no longer in the Biblical one, and his explanation as to why is below).
NOTE: Simple saying he is a unbeliever doesn't solve the problems he presents. We need to solve them by logic.
A Critical Analysis of the OT Bible God

I do not wish to change your mind. Rather I only hope you find the information here entertaining, and thought provoking.
The task set before me is a difficult one, because we have all been conditioned. Our families, friends, coworkers, priests, preachers, Sunday schools, TV materials, radio broadcasts, and so forth have conditioned us. Because of this conditioning, most Americans believe in Jesus Christ. Most people in India believe in Krishna for the same reason.
Such conditioning might make it difficult for us to view the bible with a clear unbiased mind. If you feel the need to justify the Bible God's actions, that is perfectly natural.
For the sake of this paper I will call the Old Testament God, Jehovah. Considering that is his name in the OT. Also I will be using the KJV Bible.
Would you be surprised if I told you Jehovah kills and makes alive? If not, what sort of killing does he do?
Deuteronomy 32:39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. (KJV Bible)
Not only should we question what sort of killing Jehovah does, but why? Can an eternal being, be offended? Is anything new to God? If nothing is new for God then how could he be offended? If Jehovah knows the future, could he not foresee those who would offend him to the point that he must kill them? Could he not skip over those types of humans and create the ones that would not offend him so much?
2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
In case you wish to say, but that is the OT. This verse in the NT teaches that God is a deceiver. To send a delusion is to deceive. In fact, in the thesaurus, deception is a synonym for delusion.
I thought it was the Christian Satan that deceives? Why would God deceive his own creation?
How can any of us know if we are worshipping a false God, if we do not question it? Therefore we should not fear questioning. How would Teelk from Stargate SG-1 have ever known he was serving a false god, if he didn't question his god's actions?
Ezekiel 14:9 And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel. (Emphasis mine)
Jehovah deceives his own prophets. Not only does he deceive his own prophets, but he destroys them for being deceived. If anyone else was guilty of deception, would we not believe they are a false god? If Krishna or Allah is guilty of such a crime, we call him evil.
Jeremiah 49:37 For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before them that seek their life: and I will bring evil upon them, even my fierce anger, saith the LORD; and I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them: (Emphasis mine)
I would think the true God, the eternal, the kind, the compassionate, would not bring evil upon anyone. He would not have fierce anger, for fierce anger leads to evil deeds.
2Chronicles 18:21 And he said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And the Lord said, Thou shalt entice him, and thou shalt also prevail: go out, and do even so. (Emphasis mine)
In this particular story Jehovah uses a lying spirit in order to do his will. His will was for the king to die. Why would a holy God use a lying spirit for anything? If he really wanted the king to die, why not kill the king himself? Ultimately why kill at all?
1st Sam 15:1-4
In Samuel, Jehovah remembered that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when Israel came up from Egypt. If you will remember in the Exodus, Moses led his people out of Egypt. He and his people fought against the nations they traveled through. Amalek heard the stories about Israel fighting the nations round about them, and when Israel asked if they could pass through, Amalek said no. The Amalekites stood their ground and defended their nation. Because they defended themselves, four hundred years later Jehovah sent King Saul to destroy all of the Ameleites.
1Sa 15:3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.
What kind of character would send humans to destroy a whole people because they defended themselves? Israel's soldiers had to stab infants to death, little children and women that cannot defend themselves. Wouldn't this cause them to develop psychological disorders? If soldiers that came back from Vietnam, came back messed up in the head, why not Israelites? Wouldn't Jehovah know that killing children would be hard on the feeble human mind? If Jehovah was so angry with Amalek why not kill him mercifully? Perhaps he could make them disappear from the earth with no pain. Instead he sends soldiers with swords and spears to kill them.
The most bizarre thing though, is that this was four hundred years later. It would be like destroying all of Spain today for what they did to the Native Americans four hundred years ago. Actually it would be like destroying all the Native Americans today, because they chose to defend themselves against the Spaniards four hundred years ago.
Genesis chapter 6
In Genesis chapter six, Jehovah repents that he made humans. If Jehovah knows all the future, didn't he know before he created humans that they would not please him? Didn't he know that all but eight of them would drive him to madness?
Why couldn't Jehovah think of a more merciful way to destroy all the humans on earth? Jehovah could have made them disappear. You might say, but he wanted the eight people to see them destroyed, so that they might fear; that they might tell the story to their children, and their children's children, so that they will be holy. Obviously that didn't work, and wouldn't Jehovah had known it wasn't going to work.
Besides, Jehovah could have made the people disappear and implanted the memories into the eight survivor's minds that the earth was flooded. What kind of character does Jehovah have? He doesn't seem all that kind to me.
Num 31:18 But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.
If you are unfamiliar with this story, I recommend that you read it. Jehovah commanded his people not to marry the Midianites, because they would lead them to worship false gods. (Interesting enough, some of their gods were far kinder than Jehovah.) Did Jehovah know that their gods were more kind, and would allure his chosen people?
Moses hears the voice of Jehovah, and Jehovah commands him to tell his army to destroy all the Midianites, to leave none alive. The soldiers come back with the women and children. Moses gets angry and says, "Why did you keep these alive?" The soldiers say, "Because they are children and women." Moses leaves and talks to Jehovah. When he comes back he says, "Jehovah wants you to kill them all, but you can keep the virgin little girls alive for your self."
Earlier in the story they were forbidden to marry the Midianites, because they would lead them to worship false gods. Now they are allowed to marry the virgin little girls? Those girls have been conditioned to follow false gods. How are they clean just because they are virgin little girls?
The soldiers were at least 20, because that is the minimum age to be in Israel's army. They are allowed to have sexual relations with virgin little girls? Furthermore, why would these girls want to marry Israelites? They just murdered their whole people. Killed their parents, grandparents, brothers, and older sisters, and now they want to shack up with them? I don't think so.
And the most disturbing of all, why dispatch the young boys and older women like they were inhuman? Does Jehovah even have a heart?
Hosea 11:10 They shall walk after the LORD: he shall roar like a lion: when he shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west. Hosea 13:8 I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will rend the caul of their heart, and there will I devour them like a lion: the wild beast shall tear them. (Emphasis mine)
I thought Satan was the roaring and devouring lion? In the OT that was Jehovah.
In the book of Exodus Moses and Joshua, with their army commit genocide. They did this because Jehovah commanded them too. I remember Hitler tried to commit genocide against the Jewish people. Karma perhaps? The Jews tried to commit genocide against the Hittites, Cannanites, Midianites, etc, and later in history Hitler tried to wipe the Jews out. I find it all sick, both Hitler and Jehovah.
Exodus 7:13 And he hardened Pharaoh's heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.
Remember in the book of Exodus Jehovah hardens the heart of Pharaoh? Ultimately this leads to his death.
Deu 25:11 When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near for to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him by the secrets. Deu 25:12 Then thou shalt cut off her hand, thine eye shall not pity her.
Many things are wrong with this commandment, but it shows the character of Jehovah. If a woman defends her husband by taking hold of the other mans secrets, you have to chop her hand off. That is disturbing enough, but you are not even allowed to pity her. Jehovah wishes for us to be just as cold hearted as he is, I guess.
Exo 21:17 And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.
Ask yourself this question. If you lived back then, and you were under the law, could you have killed your own child? If your child cursed you, it was your duty to turn him over to the judges, and if found guilty, he would be stoned. What kind of god would command this? What kind of god expects us to murder our own children? I once loved the bible so much that I was blind to these questions. I tried to justify Jehovah's actions.
Exodus 21:26 And if a man smite the eye of his servant, or the eye of his maid, that it perish; he shall let him go free for his eye's sake.
Jehovah not only allowed his people to have slaves, but he allowed them to beat their slaves, just don't knock their eye out, or you must let them go free. Not only was slavery condoned in the OT, but Paul in the New Testament says to be good to your slaves.
1Peter 2:18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.
Jehovah's answer to sexual oriented subject matter.
It is of the highest importance that if you are a son of Aaron, a priest, you will not enter the temple to offer bread, if you have crushed testicles. (Lev 21:20). Sounds unreasonable, I know, but don't question Jehovah or he might plague you.
Lev 21:16 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Lev 21:17 Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God.
Lev 21:18 For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,
Lev 21:19 Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded,
Lev 21:20 Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;
Hey, you flat nose. Yeah you, sorry but you cannot enter the temple, and offer Jehovah bread. Jesus teaches that the flesh is of no importance. What you look like does not matter, and it shouldn't, yet Jehovah is overly concerned with how his priest looked.
Lev 21:13 And he shall take a wife in her virginity.
Lev 21:14 A widow, or a divorced woman, or profane, or an harlot, these shall he not take: but he shall take a virgin of his own people to wife.
Lev 21:15 Neither shall he profane his seed among his people: for I the LORD do sanctify him.
Not only was the looks of the priests important, it was also important who the priests marry. Not that Jehovah was racist or anything, but he only wanted his priests to marry in his own tribe. Naturally it makes perfect sense that a divorced woman is dirty and the priest should not be allowed to marry anyone but a pure virgin. (Sorry I'm getting sarcastic.)
Lev 21:9 And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the !*%+#, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire.
There comes a time when throwing stones at people's heads, is just not good enough. It is at these times we should fry their asses, showing them harlots no mercy.
Or maybe the true God would command no such thing. Perhaps the true God, if he did want her dead, would kill her mercifully, instead of violently in the fire. And just maybe there is no creator.
In Duet 22:13-21, if a man is angry with his wife, and he no longer believes she was a virgin when they got married, he can go to her fathers house and demand to see the clothe containing her hymen. If a female accidentally broke her hymen then her parents saved it in a clothe, so that in the future they could prove her daughter was still a virgin.
If the father can produce the hymen then they will chastise the husband for doubting his wife. He had every right to doubt her virginity, considering she had no hymen, but heck, beat him anyways. He must even pay her father 100 pieces of silver. As if that is not enough, he is forced to remain married to her for the rest of her life. What if she doesn't wish to be married to him anymore? The law never covers female's rights in this matter. Who cares, they are only females, right?
If the father cannot produce his daughter's hymen, or a piece of pig's skin disguised as her hymen, then she will be bashed to death by stones. She must be stoned to death in front of her father's house. Whatever, the father deserves to watch his daughter get stoned. I know, I know, I am being overly dramatic, and satirical, please do forgive me.
I imagine all the Jews and Christians stopped reading at this point. If you are still with me, I am not trying to offend you. If I have offended you thus far please do forgive me. I only wish to point out the things that I was finally able to see, after I was no longer blinded by my devotion to the bible.
Deu 22:22 If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.
What if the man didn't know she was married, because she lied to him? Jehovah does not comment on this situation. When your wife cheats on you, and I know it hurts like hell when they do, but is killing them just a tad overboard?
Deu 22:23 If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;
Deu 22:24 Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.
Deu 22:25 But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die.
Deu 22:26 But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:
Deu 22:27 For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.
If a wife has sex with a man in the city, and they get caught, they both are killed. If she cheats on her husband, you kill her and the man she cheated on him with. However if she screams then you do not kill her, because she was being raped. What if he is raping her but covering her mouth? She did not scream so she dies? Does any of this make loving sense?
Deu 22:28 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
Deu 22:29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.
Deu 22:30 A man shall not take his father's wife, nor discover his father's skirt.
This also sounds like rape, but because she was not married, she is forced to marry the man that raped her? Even if she was not raped, if they are found sleeping together outside of wedlock, he is forced to marry her. He cannot ever divorce her. But again what if she wishes to get divorced? Jehovah does not seem to care what women want.
Does it sound reasonable that just because you were caught fornicating you have to spend the rest of your life with that person?
Exo 4:24 And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the LORD met him, and sought to kill him.
Exo 4:25 Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me.
Jehovah was about to blast Moses dead because he didn't circumcise his son on time. Saving the day, wonder-woman Zipporah snatched up a sharp rock, and slashed the foreskin off her son's penis. Circumcision might be a medical benefit, or make for a more sexual experience, but for Jehovah to kill Moses, because he didn't circumcise his son on time? Why is cutting the penis so important that Jehovah is willing to kill Moses for not doing it?
Exo 22:19 Whosoever lieth with a beast shall surely be put to death.
I am sure most would agree it is wicked to sleep with animals, and we should all jump at the opportunity to slay such persons. Maybe it is better to kick them out of the land if sleeping with animals is such a problem. They are not harming anyone. What if the animal enjoys it? Perhaps these people have deep rooted mental issues, and all they need is some help?
In Leviticus chapter fifteen it says if a man has fluid running from his penis, he is unclean. Everything and everyone he touches is unclean. It sounds like he has a sexually transmitted disease, or some other kind of contagious disease. If Jehovah is so concerned with the matter, why ask them to sacrifice animals and bath in water to get rid of it? Killing animals is going to cure their disease? I think Jehovah should have taught them how to make medicine from plants so that they could cure themselves.
Would God ask you to kill animals because you contacted a sexually transmitted disease?

It is bad enough that Jehovah allows slavery. He also commands odd things concerning masters and slaves. Wouldn't the family unit be more important to God, than money? If so then why does Jehovah say that if a slave goes free, the slave's children and wife will not go free with him, but they will stay with the owner? Because his slave had children while he was a slave, he gains two extra money makers? It seems the Jews invented these laws to please their own desires.

I don't have a problem with polygamy, but I do have a problem with selling women. Women had a price to them and this is why you had to pay the father to marry his daughter. I guess popping out children could have been a lucrative business back then.
Lev 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
Faggotism is surely a genetic mutation that the wicked one himself spread on the earth. Is faggotism a word? I don't think so, but let's make it one. We need to kill the faggots that are sleeping together. This is clearly the best solution. No, we should not kick them out of the land, or accept them for the loving people they are, we should kill them. To hell with the fags, stone them dead, because Jehovah said so. (I do not seriously believe we should call homosexuals fags. Hopefully my humor was understood.)

Lev 20:16 And if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down thereto, thou shalt kill the woman, and the beast: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
Common sense teaches us that animals are too stupid to realize that sleeping with humans is wrong, but to heck with it, kill the animal anyways. Sure, we could sell the animal to a neighboring land, and make some money, but instead we will kill the poor thing. Not like it is our fellow earthling.
Deu 21:10 When thou goest forth to war against thine enemies, and the LORD thy God hath delivered them into thine hands, and thou hast taken them captive,
Deu 21:11 And seest among the captives a beautiful woman, and hast a desire unto her, that thou wouldest have her to thy wife;
Deu 21:12 Then thou shalt bring her home to thine house, and she shall shave her head, and pare her nails;
Deu 21:13 And she shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her, and shall remain in thine house, and bewail her father and her mother a full month: and after that thou shalt go in unto her, and be her husband, and she shall be thy wife.
Deu 21:14 And it shall be, if thou have no delight in her, then thou shalt let her go whither she will; but thou shalt not sell her at all for money, thou shalt not make merchandise of her, because thou hast humbled her.
Makes perfect sense right? Heck you won the war. You put your blood and sweat into it. You deserve any women among the captives you wish. Who cares what she thinks. You only slaughtered her family, and destroyed her life. Better make sure she shaves her head. If for some reason she does not please you, you can get rid of her, but you are not allowed to sell her, because you humbled her.
Clearly women did not invent Jehovah.
Deu 23:1 He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.
If you happen to have wounded testicles, or a really angry wife that removed your penis, you are not worthy to enter the congregation of Jehovah. Don't laugh-shoosh. This is not funny. Having a penis is very important. It is odd. You cannot enter the congregation if you have no penis, but you must cut off part of your penis, circumcise it, in order to enter the congregation.
If for whatever reason your brother dies before he gives his wife a child, it is your duty to give her a child. What do you mean, if you don't love her? Who cares, Jehovah has commanded you to give her a child, darn it. Don't back talk! If you don't obey, she gets to spit in your face and make a public example of you. How dare you not sleep with your dead brother's wife. (Duet 25:5-10)
We know that whores should be stoned to death, but Jehovah made an exception for his prophet Hosea. He was allowed to marry a harlot so that Jehovah could demonstrate a point. The point being that he would take back Israel even after Israel went after other gods. Would God do such a thing?
Sometimes Mass Killing is the only way.
The most famous mass killing story in the Bible is Noah's flood. It goes something like this. Jehovah, who can see the future, gets pissed off at the humans he created. He commands Noah to build a huge boat. Then he floods the earth killing everything alive, including the little children. A God that is called love would surely not drown children. If for whatever reason he must kill children, I am sure he could think of a more merciful way to dispatch of them. (Genesis 6)
But who are we to question Jehovah, Zues, Ra, Marduk, Ea, Indra, Krishna, or any god?
Moving forward on the time line just a tad we find two towns, Sodom, and Gomorrah. Jehovah thinks the people there have become wicked. The answer to this is obviously mass killing. Could there be any other way? Heck no!
Did Jehovah grow soft over the years? Why doesn't he shoot fire balls from the sky anymore? Oh, I think I got it. He caused 9-11, Katrina, and the tsunami that hit Sri Lanka. (Genesis 19)
Gen 18:23 And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?
Gen 18:25 That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?
You see it is not wrong to question Jehovah. Reading this article is not a sin.
Gen 19:26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
Damn that ignorant woman. Jehovah warned her fair and square. "Don't look back," he said. But noooooo, she just had to look back didn't she. Poof, she became salt. Serves her right.
Gen 38:7 And Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD slew him.
Gen 38:8 And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother's wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother.
Gen 38:9 And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother.
Gen 38:10 And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also.
Judah, the bloodline that Jesus descended from; Jehovah killed his sons. Hands down, the one that deserved it most was Onan. How dare he not give his dead brother's wife a child. Take that Onan.
Exo 9:6 And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.
Don't cry for these animals. They are not innocent. They are evil, evil I tell ya. Can't you see it? Those Egyptian's cattle were evil demon possessed cattle that deserved to die.
Exo 9:25 And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.
Poor trees, he broke them all. Oh wait, sorry I must be getting numb. He killed humans with hail. I guess if anything Jehovah is inventive. Besides, they were told to leave that demonic field anyways. It's their fault they stayed.
Exo 12:29 And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.
Exo 12:30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.
Jehovah commanded the people to paint their doorpost with the blood of a lamb, and if they did the angel of death would pass over their house and not kill their firstborn. Naturally the Egyptians did not believe this, and why should they? I have to wonder why God would kill children because their parents did not paint their door post. Come to think of it, why would he kill children at all?
But to kill children because their parents did not paint the freaking door post? You be the judge of that.
I suppose Jehovah's angels have no problem being his hitmen, because they often kill on his behalf, and for really stupid reasons. Such reasons as not painting your door post with blood.
Jehovah hardens Pharaoh's heart to the point of madness. Why else would Pharaoh follow Moses after all he saw? Pharaoh saw the sea split and chased after Moses. After Moses and his people make it across, Jehovah closes the sea and drowns the Egyptians. I suppose he didn't get his fill of drowning people in the worldwide flood.
In the book of Leviticus, literally thousands of animals are slaughtered every year. Some of them are completely wasted, burnt to ashes. God delights in the sacrifice of animals and bread?
Num 11:33 And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the wrath of the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD smote the people with a very great plague.
Damn these unholy people. How dare they get sick of eating manna every day. Maybe he killed them all for wanting to be meat eaters? Nah, that cannot be it, because he told them they can eat meat. He killed them for not being happy with manna.
Numbers chapter sixteen is a holy graceful chapter that everyone should stop and read right now. I'll wait. My first question is why does Jehovah like incense? Can the smell escape the atmosphere and reach his nose?
Korah and the priest have a problem with Moses and Aaron claiming superiority over them. They challenged Moses, and asked him if they are not also holy. The end result was that Moses got angry. He ran and told Jehovah to stop accepting their offerings.
Jehovah got angry and told Moses to get out of his way so that he ccould destroy them all. Moses and Aaron begged Jehovah to not do that. "Are you going to kill all these men for one man's sin?" Jehovah must have realized that he was flying off his rocker, because he calmed down a bit. He said, "Hurry up and get them out as fast as you can." He even tells them that if they so much as touch the clothing of the wicked they will die.
Jehovah swallowed them up in the earth. The onlookers got scared and think the earth is also going to swallow them, and ran off. Jehovah burned all two hundred and fifty of them. Fair enough, burn them for being scared.
The others offered incense in fear, hoping it would please Jehovah. Jehovah killed them anyways. The survivors complained, because Jehovah had killed the holy people. Jehovah really does not like being questioned, so he bust out a fresh can of "plague," killing 14,7000 people. Did 14,700 people really deserve to die? I'm sure they had it coming anyways. In the future they would do something totally wicked, like break the Sabbath or something.
Num 25:4 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.
Moses who had spent a lot of time talking with Jehovah, knew what Jehovah might like and dislike. After the Israelites slept with the daughters of Moab, and worshipped their gods, Moses did what he thought would turn Jehovah's anger away from Israel.
Yup Jehovah commanded them to make dried-up-human-raisin heads.
Death, and more death.
There once was a man that picked up sticks on Sabbath. He got stoned upside his head for it. Building a fire on Sabbath was the best way for him to stay warm, but that was against the law. The best solution? Bash him with stones. (Numbers 15: 32-36)
Someone from Paltalk always says, no, that is not why he was stoned. He was stoned because he was basically flipping Jehovah off, as if to say, I can pick up sticks if I feel like it. Your laws suck Jehovah, I will do what the hell I please.
Even if that is the case, why would the true God want to stone him for it? If he really needs to have the man killed, why not do it in a more merciful way?
Deu 6:14 Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;
Deu 6:15 (For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.
The holy jealous Jehovah will kill you if you go after other gods. Why would an eternal being be, well, so human like? I can understand why humans get jealous and angry, but why would an eternal being become so jealous that he is lead to kill. Anger is a bad emotion because it leads you to do evil things.
If anyone else but Jehovah were guilty of the things we have covered so far, you would no doubt say he was wicked. Yet because we have been conditioned to believe Jehovah is God, we apologize for his deeds-we try to justify them.
Deu 13:6 If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;
Deu 13:7 Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;
Deu 13:8 Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:
Jehovah could have such family members removed from Israel. Banish them to a foreign land perhaps, but no he would rather you stone them to death. He would rather you be the first to smash their face with a rock. You are not allowed to hide them, or help them escape. You are not even allowed to pity them. If your family members tried to convince you that another god is better, you must have them put to death, and you cannot pity them.
I know what I would have done if one of my family members tried to get me to worship another god. I would have escaped with them to a foreign land.
Deu 14:21 Ye shall not eat of anything that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
I would like to go off subject for a moment. Jehovah commands a good thing here. He tells the Jews not to eat meat that dies of itself, and that is a good thing. Then he says they can sell it to the Gentiles. Are Gentiles less than Jews or something?
Once Jehovah was angry with Israel, naturally he plagued them. However, an Israelite man fell in love with a Midianitish woman, and brought her home to his people. They gave him a loving welcome, but Phinehas stabed them both in the stomach with a javelin. Jehovah was well pleased with Phinehas for doing this, and awards him and his bloodline with an everlasting priesthood. Phinehas' good deed alone saved Israel from the plague, but not before Jehovah killed 24,000 Israelites. (Numbers 25:6-13)
Deu 2:32 Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, to fight at Jahaz.
Deu 2:33 And the LORD our God delivered him before us; and we smote him, and his sons, and all his people.
Deu 2:34 And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones, of every city, we left none to remain:
Deu 2:35 Only the cattle we took for a prey unto ourselves, and the spoil of the cities which we took.
Deu 2:36 From Aroer, which is by the brink of the river of Arnon, and from the city that is by the river, even unto Gilead, there was not one city too strong for us: the LORD our God delivered all unto us:
Jehovah delivered all the children and women into the hands of the Israelites, in order that they could smote them dead and steal their land. Are you even beginning to think that perhaps this is a distorted view of God?
Deu 3:3 So the LORD our God delivered into our hands Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people: and we smote him until none was left to him remaining.
Deu 3:4 And we took all his cities at that time, there was not a city which we took not from them, threescore cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
Deu 3:5 All these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and bars; beside unwalled towns a great many.
Deu 3:6 And we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children, of every city.
Jehovah reminds me of the Mafia. Don't just kill your enemy, but kill their family too. Once again, Israel by the command and blessing of Jehovah killed an entire people. Don't we call that genocide?
Deu 7:10 And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.
Jehovah doesn't play around. He will face you and slap you dead.
Deu 21:18 If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them:
Deu 21:19 Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place;
Deu 21:20 And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard.
Deu 21:21 And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.
Can I ask you a question? If you lived back then and your son was rebellious and a drunk, would you be able to turn him over to be killed? Even if he is thirty years old, would you turn him in? Or would you try to help him?
What kind of god would command us to kill our children, ever, at any time in history?
This is only a handful of verses that show the character of Jehovah. If anyone else other than Jehovah was guilty of such crimes, we would sentence him to life in prison. There is no way we would ever worship such a one that was guilty of such wickedness. Yet, most Americans worship Jehovah. They do it because they were conditioned to.
