Desireo: These newsletters by Pastor Andy Shupe do not seem to be in line with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, to put it mildly.
Just a quick glance at them suggests to me that he's a little too wrapped up in the "last days" rigamarole and the notion that the Anti-Christ
will be an American President is just too far fetched (if not postively loony) for me to accept. I'm leaving the posts up but with this caution to readers.

resq, I agree with you. This stuff is basically the product of American fundamentalist evangelicalism The problem is that the rapture is always put
tantalisingly just ahead of where we are now. Many of them predicted 1967 and we're still here- I think!
Most Christians, including Catholics, think Christ comes to us in our lives at all times and that we don't know when God will finally wrap things up. |
