Suzanne: what an amazing job you've done! You must have worked on this for months -- if not years. I hope you're still a young woman, because I can envision this project taking several decades before you're up to the 20th century.
You and the others who are interested in a timeline of Church history may want to look at this: www.fecom.org/INDEXIngl.htm#autor It's the website which describes the work done by a Spanish priest, Hernan J. Pereda, cpcr. He's created a wonderful chart showing the history of the Church alongside other events in human history. I saw it on a wall in the cloisters in Avila's cathedral and bought it immediately. (That's not me.) The chart has now been translated into English. It's a really useful and fascinating visual aid, and has some fun facts. Reading from top to bottom, Fr. Pereda gives: Roman Empire & Kings & Emperors; World Events; Persecutions and Martyrdoms; Saints, Doctors of the Church; Crusades; Popes; Councils; Fathers of the Church; Scholars; Heresies; Wars, Culture, Charity, Art, Literature, Philosophy. I notice on the website that he also has one for Biblical history; that should be interesting too. You can buy the charts online if you have a credit card. |

Thanks for all your kind words.
I work on it when I can. I'm still somewhat young-- in my early thirties-- and yeah, it'll take a while at the pace I'm going. I just do what I can. BIG BLUE WAVE a pro-life blog. |
